And now, EVEN MOAR COOKIES
So the cookie recipe I wrote about in my last post is amazing and versatile and I HAVE SO MANY PLANS FOR IT. It is also HIGHLY DELICIOUS and thus I have had several recipe requests! SO HERE YOU GUYS GO:
Basic Cakecookies
1 thing of cake mix, your choice for the flavor
2 eggs
1/3 cup of oil
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees, and then mix everything up. Depending on your cake mix, the resulting dough can get pretty thick; feel free to add a little more oil if it gets impossible to stir. Sticking a big ziplock over your hand and kneading it like bread dough works really well, too. Then drop spoonfulls on a cookie sheet and stick it in the oven for 10 minutes. Once they're done, pull it out and let it cool for 10 more before transferring to a cooling rack. I do about 9 cookies per sheet, and end up with 27 cookies, most of which are gone before they even get to the cookie jar.
You can do a ton of things with this! My first try used devil's food cake mix and a cup of chocolate chips. Simple and all of them were gone in around a day XD The second batch was a little more complicated:
S'mores Cakecookies
1 thing of cake mix (I used yellow cake mix, but these'd probably be good with devil's food too)
1/3 cup of oil
A capfull of vanilla
1/2 cup of chocolate chips
Large marshmallows
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Mix everything but the marshmallows together, spoon the cookies onto baking sheets, and put them in the oven for 5 minutes. While they cook, cut the marshmallows into halves. After the 5 minutes are up, pull the half-baked cookies out, stick the marshmallows cut-side down into the middle of the cookies, and then put them back to cook for another 5 minutes. Pull them out when done and cool for another 10 minutes before sticking them on a cooling rack.
And there you go! HAVE FUN BAKING and in the meantime I am going to be scheming about what to do with the 2 boxes of red velvet cake mix we have in the pantry. Mmmmmm :9
